Reflections On 2011

Posted December 31st, 2011 in Goals and Reflections by Jeremy Waller

Well my friends…2011 is nearly over.

At the end of each year I tell myself that it seems like the year has flown by.

So much has happened that it seems like it doesn’t all fit into the last 12 months.

It has been a fantastic year, full of many highs and very few lows.

Mamma Mia!

The first big highlight of 2011 was our big blowout trip before our boys were born.

In February, my wife and I took a trip of a life-time to Italy. We spent 10 days traveling across Italy, visiting Rome, Florence, Naples, Pompeii and Venice.

It was amazing to say the least.

So much history. So many incredible things to look at.

So much pizza!

The other major (huge!) event for us was the birth of our twin boys Ian Timothy and Noah Riley.

Oh how life has changed!

Our world no longer revolves around us. Everything we plan now revolves around their schedule.

Schedules are very important when you have two babies to take care of!

Even though it has been a lot of work, we have been paid back many times over with more smiles that I can count.

My 3rd Baby: PFW

I also started Personal Finance Whiz this year. I’ve been amazed at how quickly the site has taken off.

So much of that is due to the amazing community of personal finance bloggers. Thank you all!

December will be the 4th full month that PFW has been online.

  • Unique Visitors: 2,874
  • Page Views: 4,311
  • Alexa Rank: 135,673
  • Top 30 Personal Finance Blog on Technorati
  • Top 50 Business Blog on Technorati
  • And a whole laundry list of other stats…

I’ve been blogging for 5 years now. PFW has taken off faster than any other site I have started. I’m really excited to see what happens in 2012.

I have so many plans for 2012 that I can’t keep them straight in my head. I plan to do a video series on finance, start a personal finance podcast and launch my first product. I have all kinds of post ideas (I have nearly 4,000 topics that I want to write about in my database!)

I have met so many new people through this blog in such a short time. I’m very excited to see what happens next year!

Farewell 2011. It’s been real.

I can only hope that 2012 will be even better.
